Biodiversity Genomics Conference

8 April 2013

CBA hosted its inaugural conference on Biodiversity Genomics in the first week of April at CSIRO Discovery and ANU.

Over 180 delegates participated in the well-received (and sold-out!) conference and associated workshops.

Local and international researchers highlighted the contribution of biodiversity genomics to

  • micro-and macroevolution,
  • ecosystems and metagenomics, and
  • policy, conservation and management.

The conference opened with the official launch of the CBA by Professor Ian Young, AO (Vice-Chancellor of the ANU) and Dr Mark Lonsdale (Chief CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences).
