Over five days, participants will complete 16 sessions designed to build practical and theoretical expertise in population genetics. Each session is divided into three components:

  1. Core theory – Foundational principles of population genetics will be introduced and explored in depth.
  2. Applied case studies – Explore how these concepts are used in real-world biodiversity and genomic research.
  3. Hands-on R training – Guided practical exercises develop skills in analysing and interpreting genetic data using R.

Support will be available throughout the sessions to assist with any technical or analytical questions.

Sessions will be presented live (Australian Eastern Daylight Time, AEDT, UTC+11) via the workshop Airmeet page using the email address you registered with (you will receive an email prior to the workshop with Airmeet access information - check your junk folder if you didn't get it and contact luism@diversityarrays.com if you need assistance). An introduction to Airmeet can be viewed here.

All sessions will be recorded and shared, along with relevant resources, so participants can revisit the material at any time (or catch up due to time zone differences).

The workshop program booklet has pre-workshop instructions for signing up to Posit Cloud which will used for workshop training sessions. It also outlines assumed R knowledge for the workshop and a background reading list.
