Program

Day 1 | Monday 27 October | 10am-5pm

• Lectures, demonstrations and discussions on Ivan’s genome annotation methods.

Day 2 | Tuesday 28 October | 10am-5pm

• Hands-on workshop for people to work on their own datasets.
• Participants attending Day 2 will need to bring their own laptops with Geneious installed. Please let us know on the registration form if you will need a guest licence.
• If you have particular gene families or regions that you want to annotate, make sure you have the version of that data you want to work on readily available.
• If you don’t have one already, we also recommend you install a code editor like VSCode. Cursor and Windsurf are very similar and come with AI assistants that may be useful for some of the simpler debugging questions that may arise on the day.

Light refreshments will be provided on both days (lunch at around 12pm and afternoon tea at 3pm). The nearby Discovery Cafe is also open 7:30am-2:30pm.

You can choose to attend one or both days when you register.
