Bill adaptation in parrots: finding the genes involved in surface area increases over time

  • Integrates morphometrics with next-generation sequencing
  • Involves wet lab work and bioinformatic analysis of data
  • Relevant to climate adaptation / thermoregulation in birds
  • Based at the Australian National Wildlife Collection (CSIRO)
  • $5000 stipend
