New ANU-CSIRO science precinct
The ANU and CSIRO have joined forces in a new collaborative precinct to help build a sustainable future for the environment, agriculture and global food supplies.
The National Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Precinct (NAESP) was launched today by the Minister for Industry the Hon Ian Macfarlane MP.
CBA Director Craig Moritz was instrumental in the $18 million bid to the Science and Industry Endowment Fund (SIEF).
The SIEF grant will be used to develop:

At ANU, The Centre for Genomics, Metabolomics and Bioinformatics (CGMB), an advanced training and innovation facility, and the Ecogenomics and Bioinformatics Laboratory (EBL), a collaborative high-end lab and computer facility that aims to revolutionise the translation of genomic discovery to environmental management and crop deployment; and

At CSIRO Black Mountain, a new life sciences building.
