COMBINE Canberra will be running a 2-day intensive Software Carpentry Bootcamp that will cover basic computational skills for biology, including Unix, Python and version control.

Software Carpentry is an international organisation that offers hands-on training for scientists, covering the core computational skills needed to be productive in a small research team. Short tutorials alternate with practical exercises, and all instruction is done via live coding.

This training opportunity is made possible with sponsorship from the ANU Research School of Biology and CSIRO.

Registration will be $60 per person.
