This one day Jalview hands-on training course is designed for life sciences graduate students and other researchers who need to align and analyse proteins, RNA and DNA sequences.

A series of short talks and hands-on exercises during the day will allow participants to practice core Jalview capabilities, and explore some of the latest features, such as working with UCSF Chimera for 3D structure visualisations, and importing and analysing genomic variants.

Course materials also include an extensive manual (available as a PDF), and a suite of training videos demonstrating many of the exercises.

You will need a laptop with appropriate software installed. Installation instructions will be sent to registered participants.

The number of places is limited to approx. 15-20. Details are on the registration form. Please Register by 2 June.

This workshop is organised by the CBBU (Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Unit) at ANU.
