Genome Biology Group meeting

After much ad hoc corridor, online, and other opportunistic discussion about all things genomic, we’ve decided to establish an (ANU) Genome Biology Group.

This group will be an open group and welcomes people from across ANU, CSIRO and University of Canberra.

Anyone interested is welcome to come along to our first meeting on Friday 18th March at 12.30 in Evolution Meeting Room, Robertson C201 (level 2), ANU (up the ramp from the Little Pickle and though the first glass doors on your right and down the corridor).

The idea at this stage is twofold:

  1. Have informal say monthly meetings with perhaps a short talk, or discussion about ideas or projects, and a good gossip about new methods and opportunities for collaboration. This will be open to everyone (ANU, CSIRO, UC, elsewhere).
  2. For ANU folks specifically, we want to increase our outward facing presence with a well-collated webpage that highlights all the cool things we do. If you are interested to be part of this please get in touch with Catalina Barragan who will be collating the following information:
    • Short group activity description
    • Group webpage link
    • Resources (github, protocols.io etc.)
    • Recent papers
    • Other?

Please get in touch with Niccy if you would like to know more or be put on the email list for the new group.
