We are organizing workshops about statistics in R.

The workshops are aimed at Honours, Masters and early PhD students, but everyone is welcome.

The goal is to give you a deeper understanding of statistics and proficiency in R.

We will have two-hourly sessions every other week.

The course material from previous sessions are available here:

Topics we may cover over the coming months, depending on the audience interest and requests, include:

  • R-coding and data management
  • tests, linear models (including generalized and mixed models)
  • non-linear models
  • model selection
  • power analysis
  • structural equation models
  • Bayesian customized models (for instance in BUGS, JAGS, STAN, Inla)
  • individual-based simulations (S3 and S4)
  • advanced graphics; R within articles and presentations (markdown, knitr, sweave)
  • phylogenetics; version control (Git)
  • package creation
  • pedigrees, relatedness and quantitative genetics
  • mark-recapture
  • occupancy models
  • mutivariate analyses
