Celebrating the next 50 years of Australian Entomology

Spreading our wings...

On behalf of the Organising Committee, the President of the Society David Yeates invites you to attend a very special Society conference in 2014. This Conference marks the 50th anniversary of the Australian Entomological Society, and the Organising Committee is developing a number of special events and keynotes to celebrate this important milestone.

We have chosen to hold the conference in the iconic crucible of Australian science, the Shine Dome, a heritage listed Canberra landmark that is about the same vintage as our Society.  With recent civic redevelopment, the shine dome now sits adjacent to a vibrant hotel and retail district in New Acton, and is within walking distance of the campus of the Australian National University, the National Film and Sound Archive and the National Museum.

So set aside the 28 September – 1 October 2014 in your calendars to attend the Society Conference, celebrate the first 50 years of our Society, and help shape the next 50 years.

Location

Shine Dome, Canberra
